Hoo-ha! Nettelhorst just won the U.S. Cellular contest! This win is amazing–not just for the $100,000 to renovate our dilapidated science lab– but for what it says about of the power of our school community. This contest did not rely on luck. People needed to walk into a U.S. Cellular store, ask for a free card, and then vote for their favorite school. Nettelhorst called on their extensive network to get out the vote. When schools can draw on this kind of support, there is very little they can’t accomplish.
